I remembered flying to La Rioja two years ago. The flight was bumpy then too. You fly high over the mountains then swoop down to the Southwestern United States type desert and land in Catamarca for a short turn around to La Rioja. That flight is low and bumpy so by the time you get to La Rioja a short 20 minutes later you are really glad to be landing. The lady sitting next to me had her foot pressed to the brake and her eyes closed. Being the seasoned traveler I tried to look cool and just read my book. 

When I decided to take this trip I thought it would be great fun to return to Argentina to learn Spanish, revisit a lovely country, meet artists and volunteer in the medical clinic in La Rioja that I visited two years ago with a group from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. I think when you plan too carefully the planning can get in the way of a multitude of experiences you might miss because of your plans......so I contacted an old friend and asked her to join me on my semi-planned adventure. To my great surprise and pleasure she agreed to join me.

On September 7th I will leave for Argentina for three weeks. Plans include Buenos Aires and La Rioja (approximately 2 hours north and west of Buenos Aires by air) and some points in between. It will be an adventure. I plan to do a travel and art log, so join me here for my Argentina adventure!

Yes, it has been months since the old site went down. Over the past several months I have worked with a new web designer on what I believe to be a new and improved version of the web site. You can now see the art in an enlarged version that will let you really see brush strokes and designs more clearly. Artists have furnished new work along with some of the original work available on the site.
